Mr. Cooke has 20 years of experience in the global energy business, including a significant role in the planning and construction of a $1.6 billion refinery for Shell Canada in Edmonton, Alberta. He also spent 10 years as Executive Vice-President for Sony Canada Ltd., functioning as the Chief Operating Officer for the $600 million Canadian subsidiary. He was responsible for all facets of the Company’s operations.
DAN DIAMOND • Chairman
Dan Diamond is an entrepreneur and publisher of both books and electronic information specialized in sports. He has produced the much-acclaimed NHL Official Guide & Record Book annually since 1984 and was named to The Hockey News’s inaugural list of 100 People of Power and Influence in 2000. In his community, he has played various roles negotiating the adaptive reuse of two significant industrial buildings.
JIM BATES • Executive Vice President
Mr. Bates has, over the past 33 years, been involved in 10 start-up or turn around companies in multiple business segments. He brings to REFCO a wealth of experience in all facets of business but particularly in technical operations and project management. Jim spent eight years with Westinghouse Electric Corporation in their new business development division. Jim is a seasoned negotiator and has a broad base of experience in the international market place.
KENRICK E. GEORGE • Exec. Vice President, Promotion & Human Resources
Mr. George is experienced in systems development and global enterprise management. Accredited in economics, business and accounting, he served as President and CEO of Aaron Multitec Systems from 1989 to 2007 and since that time, has been CEO of AMS Global Systems, delivering advanced solutions and expanding the company’s presence while exemplifying entrepreneurial agility and forward-thinking leadership.

Born in London, England and now a proud Canadian citizen, Ms. Haynes brings more than 20 years of leadership in executive administration, project management, law clerking and strategic operations. Certified in Human Resources and driven by precision, clarity and results, she brings a deep understanding of people, process and performance. She leads with confidence, integrity and a commitment to excellence.
CLAUDE YANSEN • Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Yansen is a qualified Professional Accountant with more than twenty years of experience in accounting, auditing, tax planning and estate planning. He has worked for one of the major public accounting firms in Canada in senior positions with assignments in Canada, USA and Asia. He has also been involved in major IPO issues on both NASDAQ and the Hong Kong markets as well participating in several M&A projects.
